GOLFING

Bamburgh Castle is home to a beautiful 18 hole golf course, with stunning scenic views. There is also Seahouses, Alnmouth, Alnwick and Dunstanborough Castle historical course.

ALNWICK CASTLE

Harry Potter and Downton Abbey lovers, this is for you, visit the castle where Harry learnt to fly his broomstick. Alnwick is home to a beautiful historical village, as well as Alnwick Gardens, a must visit if you are in the area.

BEACHES

There are some beautiful bays to explore in the area, including our local Bamburgh Beach, which is a favourite of ours for a long morning beach walk. Budle Bay, Newton on the Sea, Druridge Bay, Seahouses Harbour and Beadnell Bay.

MOUNTAIN BIKING OR HIKING

Northumberland is known for its beautiful scenic walks, some close by are ‘ The Coast and Castles Route ‘, ‘Sandstone Way ‘ and ‘ Hadrian’s Wall ‘.

FARNE ISLANDS

The Farne Islands are a wildlife-rich archipelago off Northumberland, England, famous for huge colonies of seabirds (like puffins, terns, guillemots) and significant grey seal populations, offering immersive wildlife experiences via boat trips from Seahouses to islands like Inner Farne, home to St. Cuthbert's Chapel and a Victorian lighthouse. Take the boat right from Seahouses, the harbour town right up the road from Bamburgh, with fantastic selection of Fish & Chips.

Get to know the local pubs, a few for you to check out in the local village, The Lord Crewe, The Potted Lobster, The Middle Inn, The Victoria. Or head to Seahouses for Fish & Chips at Neptunes or Lewis’. Over in Beadnell Bay you have, The Craster Arms and The Beadnell Towers. Another favourite of ours is ‘The Ship Inn’ at Newton on the Sea.

LINDISFARNE

A small island off the coast of Bamburgh Beach, only accessible at low tide, featuring a historic castle, a couple of pubs, and beautiful nature walks around the island.
